The motor car is one of the most prized possessions for a person, allowing them the freedom to go where they choose. It is an essential part of the life and history of many individuals and families in countries as they develop. With this progress however has come urban planning and environmental issues however, with roads congested by single or few occupant vehicles, and the growing problem of storing this expensive asset 95% of the time. Not to mention the enormous quantity of mining and processing minerals to provide cars to each and every individual, to be parked for most of it's useful life. All this is starting to change however, with the rise of mobility as a service (MaaS) through the advent of Uber, Lyft, Ola and many others throughout The Americas, Asia, Africa and Europe.
